On April 12, the Supreme Court ruled that there must be an "essential nexus" between a fee imposed as a condition of a permit and the proposed development's impact, and "rough proportionality" between the amount of the fee and the projected impact and that is the case whether it’s a fee imposed specific to a property or by a legislatively adopted and imposed fee schedule. This supports adoption of our Right Size Impact Fee policy! Per-door impact fees are regressive and also, just plain nonsensical! Read the opinion of the Court here: https://loom.ly/75TNqmQ
