I booked a trip to Six Flags for my kid's 8th grade graduation through CharterUp with Gogo Charters as the contracted company several months before the scheduled date. They emailed me 10 days before the trip to cancel the buses. I did not receive a phone call and I left four messages with the managers with no return phone call. I would not recommend trusting your important trips to either Gogo Charters or CharterUp.
I was very lucky to contact Phoenix Transportation and they were able to miraculously fulfill the bus contract and were wonderful to work with. In the future, I will only book business with them.

      Updated review

After a week or so I received half of my money back and a message that they were "sorry for any inconvenience". No culpability or remorse whatsoever.

Lesson learned: ask more questions before booking.

I really wish it was possible to give 0 stars. I had made a reservation for two 24-passenger charter buses for my wedding day, 6/29/19, with the understanding that they could be used as shuttles to make two trips to transport my wedding guests between our hotel and wedding venue. The first bus that arrived only held 14 passengers. My husband attempted to communicate with the driver, asking if he was here for our wedding party, and asking about the size of the bus. The driver did not speak English, so my husband was not able to get a clear answer as to why the bus size was wrong. When the 2nd bus arrived, it was a 24-passenger bus. My husband made several attempts to communicate with both drivers and ask why we did not have the two 24-passenger buses we had reserved. Eventually one of the drivers told him that it was because the other 24-passenger bus had broken down.

I got on the 24-passenger bus with several of my wedding guests and we began our trip to the venue. I started getting concerned when I noticed the driver made a different turn than he should have and attempted to ask a question about the route he was taking, but there was no response. The driver did not appear to be using a map or GPS service, his phone was visible next to him, and the screen was off. The route that he ended up taking took more than 30 minutes longer than the intended route, resulting in us arriving at the venue almost 40 minutes behind schedule, much less spending 40 minutes longer on the bus feeling motion-sick from the drive. I noticed that a few of my guests were bringing up the directions on their phones throughout the trip and were able to see the shorter route that the driver should have taken. When the driver pulled up to the venue, since he was coming from the wrong direction, there was an impossibly sharp right turn for him to make into the venue drive / parking lot. He was not able to make the turn, so we had to get out of the bus and walk all the way down to the venue from the highway. This was not easy to do in my wedding dress, and some of my guests have physical limitations and/or minor injuries that made this challenging for them. I attempted to speak to the driver before getting off the bus, telling him that he needed to look up the shorter route for the next shuttle of passengers to try to make up time and ensure that he'd be able to drive them the whole way, but I don't believe he understood what I was saying. My bridesmaid stayed on the bus to try to explain / communicate further, but had the same experience.

I had requested for both buses to return to the Marin Suites hotel to pick up the remaining wedding guests. After about an hour, we were hearing from our guests that they were still waiting at the hotel and the buses had never returned to pick them up. My coordinator attempted to contact the drivers with the phone numbers that were provided in an email Friday night, but neither driver was answering at those numbers. The coordinator, Sarah Gallando, then attempted to call Gogo Charters customer service and eventually found out that the drivers had left, possibly to go to another job, leading us to believe that they were double booked for the day. I paid hourly for them to be available from 1:30-10:30, so I am not sure why they were also getting paid for another job during those hours. At that point, we had no idea where the buses were or how long it would take them to get back to the hotel to pick up my remaining guests. Most of the guests who had been waiting well over an hour for the shuttles to arrive had already opted to either take Ubers to the venue or to drive themselves, even though the venue had asked us not to have many guests drive due to limited parking, which is why we rented shuttles in the first place. So in the end, the shuttle buses transported fewer than 50% of my wedding guests to the venue, my ceremony started almost 2 hours behind schedule due to the shuttle delays, my mom, brother, and new in-laws were almost 2 hours late to my wedding, and I spent those two hours of my wedding day feeling frustrated and overwhelmed rather than being able to enjoy my day and time with family and friends.

In the evening, the shuttles did return to bring guests back to the hotel. I believe the first shuttles arrived back sometime around 8:30pm. Again, I'm not sure where the shuttles went in the interim. I know I paid an hourly rate for the shuttles' service from 1:30pm to 10:30 pm and I only received service from about 1:30-2:30 and 8:30-10:30. ln addition, the shuttles did not drive down into the parking lot to pick guests up. My guests (including my almost 90 year old grandmother) were being asked to walk up a giant hill and stand along the highway to wait for the bus to pick them up there.

I feel so extremely appalled by the service provided by these shuttle drivers, provided by Gogo Charters. This issue caused me to lose two hours from what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life.
